I always wondered why Babkas are not more common in Singapore like they are in London or Paris (or obviously in Eastern Europe where it's from). Here you only get breakfast toasts with thin chocolate swirls that look somewhat pretty on the bakery shelf but have lackluster flavor and a rather dull chew.

So here it is, my gift to you, a full on Chocolate Babka in its full glory: seriously buttery brioche braided with serious dark chocolate ganache made with Valrhona Guanaja 70% (as always, sustainable and traceable to the producers). It's moist, it's fudgey. Have a slice with coffee for breakfast or tea time, and it will make your day instantly bright and energetic. 

For the savory folks, I made a cream cheese version with Everything Bagel topping that's garlicky and oniony.

Each loaf is around 750g, so that should last you quite some time. Though in my household one loaf is good for 2-3 days. Wrap them in cling wrap and put it in an airtight container and these babkas will be good for 5 whole days still moist and all.
